Childs Car seat airline approved?
Is the Safety 1st Alpha Luxe Echelon (Teddy) carseat air travel approved?
I can’t find anything that says it’s FAA approved on the web.
Did you try to find the FAA "sticker" somewhere on the seat? It’s usually on the side.

Look for the phrase "This restraint is certified for use in motor vehicles and aircraft". If it is approved, it will only be approved in the "harness mode". Any sort of booster is not (since airplanes don’t have shoulder belts).
That above link needs to be updated as they have stated that children above 40lbs can use a restraint.
If still unsure, contact the manufacturer and if it is approved, they will send you the sticker (if it say, fell off).
You could try to borrow a seat (maybe swap them) for your trip or buy a cheap convertible like the Cosco Scenera, which is cheap and light to fly with.
Good luck!
